I tried to upload some files today, but limitation is 500kb per user. how can i get more space? how to delete old uploads?

Log in.
Click in right upper side on your name.
Choose My Settings
You have now option Manage attachements. - Manage them !
Right now, there is no more than 500kb per user.
For bigger files, try to upload them on some website for share.
