It's been a while since addic7ed's search engine got broken (you have to search twice which is quite annoying). Today i finally decided to find a workaround and found this nice little add-on called "Redirector". You can redirect the broken search link to a correct link which solves the issue. Instruction 1. Install "Redirector" addon Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirector/ Chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/redirector/ocgpenflpmgnfapjedencafcfakcekcd?hl=en 2. Create new redirect with following details. Description: Addic7ed Search Fix Example URL: http://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=Wentworth Include pattern: http://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=* Redirect to: http://www.addic7ed.com/search.php?search=$1 Pattern type: Wildcard 3. Save Enjoy searching on Addic7en

I thought I might share this with others. I'm using uT and after an episode is finished downloading AND it is labeled "Series", I'm running a command line which automatically searched Addic7ed for available subtitles. In the uT-option "Run this program when a file finishes" I've entered: cmd /c IF %L==Series start "" "http://www.addic7ed.com/search.php?search=%N" What does it do? Check if its label (%L) is Series. (IF %L==Series) Open a browser (start "") with the url "http://www.addic7ed.com/search.php?search=%N" %N is the title of the episodes file. "cmd /c" opens a CMD instance, executes the IF statement and closes the CMD instance again. This command line should easily be able to be modified for other programs. I hope this might be helpful to others.

https://codepen.io/diomed/pen/NLLzwJ Please integrate Vue and modern vue select library in place of Quick search, [on the left] so we can finally really search as we type, and find results faster. Above is a demo of how it would look like...

Hi folks, love the work you doing, no question about it. Best site on the net! But why, oh why, did you disable the "Did you mean this show" Feature on your search engine? Normally I don't bother to log in, despite the awesome features, so i don't have every show i watch subscribed on addic7ed. So i just use the search feature and that was fine, because in addition to the episode pages it also displayed the suggestion of effectively jumping to the shows landing page, which also sets you into the most current series. By disabling that feature I first have to click on any episode and then when that page loads on the link to the shows landing page or show page. And I know, it's just one click and a page load more, but if you're watching different shows each day and on the same day, as I like to do, it amounts to quite a hassle doin it each time. Who know's, maybe somebody out there feels the same and leaves a comment. It would be appreciated. Well, that's it. Nice to meet y'all and have a good time subbin'

Recently the auto search for subtitles in BS Player (im using the Android client) stopped working. It says "No subtitle found or error searching", but since the subtitles are regularly posted here, I think the problem is in the latter part of the message. Did the admin shut down the API for it? I tried writing in the BS Player forum but no answer still... If anyone has a solution or a tip for me, I'd be very grateful. Also, huuuge thanks to Addic7ed and all the translators/subbers out there. You are amazing!

This bug is best described by example: When trying to find subtitles for "Bang Goes the Theory", instead of returning a "nothing found" message the search returns garbage for me to wade through - most of it about "The Big Bang Theory". Even enclosing my search target in quotation marks does not work. A search engine that can't tell the difference between "Bang Goes the Theory" and "The Big Bang Theory" is useless.
