Well, ...,sort of.
Almost same engine like W III, same voices and somehow, same replies.
Too many cinematics (of course, ESC key still working :D ), but... I must agree, I'm curious IF will be an W IV release !
And one big minus, SC requires so much computer resources and what it offer back...., well... it could be better.

You realize Starcraft is all about Multiplayer.. right? 90% of the players dont even play the campaign even tho it is one of the best in any realtime strategy game.

Well, I'm part of the 10%.
And for me, Warcraft series, ending with (still) III-rd part, is the best strategy game.
But that is for me, the one who is part of 10% of Starcraft players. :)

Multiplayer games....
I noticed that almost all games that are released in the last time have multiplayer option, well, let's say, as default option. OK, that means marketing, in our days, to socialize means to chat (my opinion!).
But, those games have also an epic story (I mean offline campaigns) that is more atractive for me, not that 1-2-...and so on multiplayer maps!
Again, my opinion!

Well, I guess those are (still) insane!

I think that W III established a reference point in RPG industry.

Just look al SC cinematics! :D

wake'nbake is totally right... but the "problem" with games that have both methods (SP and MP) is that one will never be like the other one.

You can say you know a game by playing single player.. and vice versa.
I would recommend MP over SP in strategy games.. it helps you develop lots of (useful) skills.

I love playing single player and stuff (generally speaking) but to be honest.. i get easily bored now if it's not multiplayer. The only game i finished recently in single player was Batman Arkham Asylum.. and that's only because it was EPIC.
I couldn't finish Warcraft 3 single player now. I'd quit after the first mission.

;-(

BONUS. (old, i know)

You don't know what you've lost. :D

Hi ,
i don't play much now but using linux i tend now to go for the indies , Darwinia and Defcon from Introversion Software or the wonderful but scary adventures from Frictional Games like Amnesia or the Penumbra series or puzzles like World of Goo. I suppose i'm getting older. ;-)
