The shows with a name starting with "The..." are in like their own subgroup in the dropdown list. A user who wants to find "the event" by typing the first letters, would need to type "the[space]e" in a very short time, because windows resets the letters entered very quickly.
Better Organization Of The Show List Dropdown ("show Name, The", Instead Of "the Show Name")

well i never noticed it.. because i type fast; there are too many shows nowadays anyway so some filters to that quick browse thing might be useful.
It's time to kick *** and chew bubble gum...

Surely the point is that in an alphabetised list, "The Mentalist" should be listed under "M"; "The Good Wife" under "G"...etc.
Then it doesn't matter how fast or slow one types.

I am very afraid my brain could overload, if this would be changed.
My vote therefore is 'no'. But if a majority would find it helpful,
then it should be changed, or maybe it both should coexist.
You know, just to prevent unnecessary brain melting.
I was just a little diverted, if I see a picture of The Duke,
my brain starts humming the title theme, and in the mind's
eye the resolution changes to 320x200, and, it's hard, it's
getting better, my therapist is very positive. :-)
As for the 'The', I had throw a look on my keyboard,
to see what my fingers are actually doing, my middle
finger is on the 't' forefinger on the 'h', ring-finger on the
'e', the thumb on space, left hand of I mean of course.
So it types itself, before you can think 'nanosecond'. :-)

Anything invented after you’re thirty-five is against the natural order of things.

Ok, brain melting... riiiight... so what? Only those who type really fast should be able to use the dropdown list?
I didn't even KNOW 'till NOW that we could type "the[space][something]", I had to 1) scroll 'till the show; 2) use the subtitle search and click in the show name.
"The" is useless in alphabetical listing, actually... it messes everything up, what makes you remember of a series isn't the "the", but the "good wife", the "mentalist".
