I keep saying - the subtitles are in the video file. It’s tricky to extract. Just get the video and watch with subtitles.

You can just get the corresponding software and extract the subs easily.

If it's an mkv file, you can use this:

MKVExtractGUI & Mkvtoolnix (you need to install both softwares into the same folder)
These tools are able to extract audio, video, subtitles, chapters and attachments from MKV-files, using mkvtoolnix.

*******************************

If it's an mp4 file, you can use this: My MP4Box GUI

Both softwares are free and easy to use. Just look for them on the internet. Install the software, load the file you have on your PC. Select the parts you want to extract. And there you are...

I can't post any download links here.

Just do a google search for these three software programs.
The downloading sites will immediately be shown.

these two shouuld be installed into the same folder:
1) MKVExtractGUI
2) Mkvtoolnix

for extracting subs from mp4 files install this:
My MP4Box GUI

Download the software, install it, use it. It's simple, you'll figure it out in no time.

Unfortunately, MKVExtractGUI doesn't extract such subtitles. They are not text files but are embedded in the video stream. The AI says that CCExtractor or FFmpeg is needed, and it has to be done via the command line. I tried, but I couldn't get it to work.

I type "History's Greatest Mysteries" into the search bar, and you type "greatest mysteries". Apparently, the site is set up to search by the exact title. And I think you should thank RowanEleven — he’s the one who found the subtitles on addic7ed.com.

It works for me. Do you have the latest version? AND (this is important) you MUST have Mkvtoolnix installed as well. I think it has to be moved to the exact location of the other software. Then it will extract subtitles from mkv files IF they are in the file. Drag and drop the movie file into the area marked "Input file" , check the boxes for the parts you want and then click on extract. It only takes a few seconds. I have version 2.2.2.9. "Resurrection"

Let's report the malfunctionality asap, shall we?

Computers have no imagination. They don't need it. Just type the title correctly and there you are.

And accordingly we have offered you a means of extracting subtitles from files with internal subs.

If you don't feel like using those methods, or for that matter SubtitleEdit which we have mentioned a few times, to adjust, rip via audio recognition, edit, translate or what have you - then that is fine too. But you are missing out on very helpful apps.

Some of us have limited bandwidth or have to pay per GB so downloading everything you need subs for isn't always an option. If you are only **** videos and you don't have the files as such, then there are a lot of methods to download them legally or otherwise. Do a Google search "how to download **** videos", if you need advice. It's not allowed here, obviously.

I'm leaving this thread now, since I don't watch this show. Good luck.
