I just started watching Pacific (one episode, so far).


Of the new stuff that I've tried:

"Memphis Beat" - seems to be working OK; nice characters that should develop well.

"Haven" - I gave up on the first ep: it seems to be starring Donald Duck as the voice-over for the main characer, and it hurts!

"Rookie Blue" - another written-to-a-formula yawnl; it might improve.

"The Glades" - undecided: it seems mainly to hang on the silly wise-cracking of he lead. (It also co-stars another Donald Duck impressionist).

The Glades is, after all, shaking down quite well - and the female lead seems to have undergone voice coaching (or laryngeal surgery, or cut back on the helium...) because her Donald Duck impression is toned down somewhat.

I gave up on The Pacific after 3 episodes. As a follow-up of BOB, it was disappointing: I couldn't tell who was who (they all look the same) and I found that I didn't really care what they did or what happened to them.
