Why are there no subs for this BBC detective series?

Because no-one ever did them, is the obvious answer, I suppose. There is none, anywhere, that I have found, and they would be useful, wi' they thick Glasgae' accents, an' aw...

But with 26 seasons (103 episodes) since 1983, it's probably wishing for the moon, now.

Someone might pick up on more recent episodes - just hope...

(Incidentally, Taggart is an ITV/STV production, not BBC.)

To bad there are no subs for this series. I know one can email the BBC on sub request.
Might just try that at ITV/STV.
Always thought it was a BBC production, so I've learned something again:)

Today I tried LLPlayer with faster-Whisper and LargeV3Turbo. I tried a series from Taggert's 18th season (I watched the previous ones without subtitles, and I struggled with the difficult accent and poor sound quality). I was very pleasantly surprised by the results.

A new era of subtitles is opening!

Here 2 episodes: 18-01 and 18-02
Naturally, problems with names, few other errors and some phantom strings. But sure, it's much MUCH better than nothing.
I intend to continue. If anyone needs it, I can post it here further when it's ready.
I'm not going to do the previous series, anyone can do it themselves - the LLPlayer is free, I advise to use the maximum settings.
