Use of the word Sequences

Recommended Posts

In the text area of what I term the details view of specific subtitles is the word "sequences" preceded by a number.  It is part of the phrase "0 times edited · 63 Downloads · 839 sequences".   I would like to understand what this word means what are sequences?

Guatemala_Gulfstream

Hopefully I was successful in inserting the URL https://www.addic7ed.com/serie/Raising_the_Bar/1/2/Guatemala_Gulfstream  to show this term in use and also to indicate what I call the detail view that contains this word.

Thank you for the reply if it comes and thank you for the service that you provide.

I assume is the blocks of text shown as a subtitle. The word "lines" would give problems, as there can be more than one line shown together, or a (long) line can be split up in multiple viewings. Most subtitle editors show numbers for individual text blocks. Properly edited srts have the numbers displayed also.
