G-G
Hi It would be great if we can see the percentage of the subtitle that you are prepearing. So we can easily understand the status of that subtitle and see when it will be finish, and see when we can download that subtitle. Like this one: Thanks...
Kerensky
The subtitles created in Addic7ed are created using offline tools, so the only way to do such thing, it's to manually update the subtitle progress bar... and that, as you can imagine, it's a bit pointless since it will slow down the subtitle creation time. EDIT: of course, that is for new uploads, for translations in the web there is a progress number next to the subtitle name. You can come into addic7ed chat channel (#addic7ed in efnet network), sometimes the team members (syncers, correctors) write there what are they doing. (But don't bother to pm them for a release time, they won't reply any request about that) Regards. G-G
Thanks for you quick response Kerensky Yea, I mean the same thing, writing the percentage ''manually''. Maybe you can create a panel on the main page that shows the percentage. At least, if the member can update the percentage 3-4 times (when he/she started, when the subtitle is %50, and %90) will be enough. I think, it wouldn't take so much time just to write the percentage... Because, you know, thousands of people are waiting for these great work of yours to watch the TV series with your subtitle, or share them on their websites. BR... elderman
Consider: The episode hasn't been created yet...Where to put the "progress bar" Creator has to interupt work flow, to basically say....this is an estimate, (so now we can be asked "when will you finish, you started "xx' minutes, hours ago, etc. We are all volunteers. We work when we work. It's done when it's done. Isn't it enought that it gets done. What's the rush...? We can't spread the work load without more volunteers... for syncing, re-syncing other releases, correctors, translators, etc. Until you actually do them yourself, you can't imagine the work involved. honeybunny
I couldn't say it better than elderman did. And I for one do most of my syncs at work. I can't do ONLY that (the sync). I can always be interrupted to do work stuff so it won't mean anything if I was at 50% 2 hours ago and I started it 3h ago, right?
alex28
that will ruin the surprise... you won't go YAYYY when it's uploaded. i`m totally against it (that and well, as said above it's pretty pointless) Changing the world. One subtitle at a time.
