Good Afternoon All,
does anyone know where I can get English subtitles for Season 1 of the TV show Raising The Bar. I can find French/Spanish/Italian but not English. Seasons 2 subs are available on various sites, but neither sight nor sound of season 1

Hi.

I have extracted .srt files from DVD CCaptions for the first four episodes, and loaded them to Addic7ed.
http://www.addic7ed.com/show/427

I don't know how good they are in detail (there may be a few missing lines, etc.) and as they are DVD rips, the start and finish timings will have to be adjusted to suit particular .avi files.

The rest of the season will follow as I find the time to extract them.

Cheers,
s.

Thank you very much I really appreciate the effort!

I was going to get the French ones and translate them but its a hard chore for a whole season :-(

Cheers

Once I've downloaded the season I'll update you on how they are, I'm sure they will be perfect:-)

As they say anything is better than nothing ;-)

Once again...

Thank you very much

They are a direct DVD rip, so they shouldl sync OK within the sequence, but the start and finish times will depend on which rip of which DVD they are associated with. Actually, there isn't a DVD rip anywhere, that I can find - but I thought that they might be of use to someone, if only as transcripts for sync'ing to other versions.

I'm afraid that the uploaded files are a bit of a curate's egg - good in parts... But I think I have it sorted.
This is a beta software, with pretty well no instructions or help articles anywhere. In my first tests, it worked fine - so I did a mass production run on the lot, checked it in parts, saw a few missing lines, etc - but thought, well, that is nothing new, and anything is better than nothing!
But there are some serious problems in some of the files.

I just did some more tests, and found better settings, and, hopefully, better files will be uploaded as soon as.
Meanwhile, regard the ones uploaded so far as "experimental subjects for educational and empirical fun". (Or rubbish - take your pick).

Well so far I've looked at episodes 1 and 2 and they seem OK,

In episode 1 at the very beginning there are two lines out of synch but then the rest seems to be OK

Of course so far I've just looked at random different parts to check they were OK and they do seem to be synched Ok

Once I've watched the whole series I'll let you know but to be honest I think they will be OK

As I'm HOH not deaf they help me follow the plot and not to lose it, the plot that is :-)

There will be good ones available very soon; meanwhile we're taking them off line.
Ep. 1 is one of the best, but wait till you get into the others!

Update:-

Well episode 1 AND 2 seem Ok but you are right episode 3 to 10 are bad

I understand completely taking them off line. However now I know someone has them and is working on them I can be patient :-)

They are all fine, one or two seconds out but I synched them with subtitle editor so they are now perfect

I'm a bit confused just where on "Addic7ed pages" can you give feedback?

But thanks anyway for a perfect job

As many Addic7ed jobs, it was a joint effort. (Not wishing to mention any particular hunny name... )

The Addicted page is here:
http://www.addic7ed.com/show/427

select season 1, and you can comment to your heart's delight!
(Well, maybe just on the first episode, say.)
