Thats gonna take hours, downloading another version is gonna take a third of the time :(

No is not. In 10 - 15 minutes all in all, for a newbie, a resync should be done.
Ofcourse, downloading a video version that already had a subtitle on addic7ed.com will be the most elegant solution.

Did you read that tutorial? Using only scrolling and searching for the out-of-sync line should take no more than 15 minutes, even for a 1.25 hrs episode!
